Thank a Soldier Today

Today is Memorial Day, and wouldn't it be wonderful if it were a whole day when not one man or woman in the armed services was killed or wounded. It would be even more wonderful if that could be true for every day. I am grateful that my sons never came under fire when they were serving in the Navy during a relatively peaceful time, and even so I worried about them. I can't imagine the anxiety a parent would feel for a child in the Service today. My husband knows I can't even watch war movies on TV. So today my thoughts are for peace, and my thanks go to all those who served in the past and those who are serving today.
