This is the Pine Bay Resort Hotel, where we spent two nights in the Ephesus/Kusadasi area. our room is somewhere on the fourth level.

The view from the ledge near our room. There were two swimming pools, which would have been delightful after a hot day out touring, but they were shut down at 6:00 PM - can you believe!

The variety and abundance of food at the buffet was truly impressive - this photo shows about a tenth of what was available.

After visiting the ruins of the city of Ephesus, we took a short detour to the sanctuary of Artemis. This was one of the "Seven Wonders of the World", but little is left now. The photo shows some of the excavations.

All we could actually see were a few scattered column bases.

And one remaining column.

This photo was taken from the window of the plane, as we left Kusadasi on our way to Istanbul.

What a wonderful trip with all the famous sites you've experienced. I'm enjoying all the photos. Too bad you didn't have a chance to cool off in the pools!
