In the early 1700s, Carl Linnaeus developed the classification of the plant and animal kingdom still used today. We visited Hammerby Manor, built in 1762 a summer home in the country for Linnaeus and his family (plus tenant farmers, servants and students). Some plant species planted by Linnaeus still thrive today in the same spot, some 230 years later.

We were entertained in the evening by a husband and wife team, Katerina and Patrick Svedberg. Her voice is as beautiful as she is.
