I've just started a baby blanket using lots of multicolor pastel baby yarn I've had for a long time. This will be for my grandson and his wife, who are expecting their baby in May. My first great-grandchild, so this is quite an event (amazing, since I'm only 39 - oh, wait, that was when I had my first grandchild). Forest and Lori are hoping for a boy, so this may not be quite the appropriate colors - they probably want "real boy" colors (although there is some blue in the pastel mix). Anyway, I need to use up the yarn. I'll probably make a baby sweater later if there's any left.

Congratulations on the soon-to-be great-grandchild. My dad has had his first two this year, 5 months apart. He is 85, somewhat older than your '39'!
